Join a 4-hour introduction to tapestry and rag weaving at my atelier in Het Wijkpaleis in Rotterdam. In a relaxed and creative studio setting, you will learn the foundations of weaving on a medium frame loom while exploring texture, rhythm, and composition through textile materials.

During the workshop, you will experiment with different weaving techniques and patterns using a variety of fibers, fabrics, and recycled textile materials inspired by traditional rag rug weaving techniques. With more time to develop your weaving, this workshop allows for a slower and more immersive approach to learning while creating a larger woven textile piece.

The workshop is fully beginner-friendly and all materials are included. You will also receive a small weaving booklet with tips and techniques so you can continue experimenting with weaving at home.

Please arrive 5 minutes before the workshop. I will meet participants in the hallway of Het Wijkpaleis and bring everyone up to the atelier together.

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to attend, please let me know by email at least 7 days before the workshop.

Cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours before the workshop can be rescheduled to another date (subject to availability), with a maximum of one reschedule per booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop cannot be refunded or rescheduled, as materials and preparation will already be in place.

In the unlikely event that the workshop needs to be cancelled or rescheduled from my side, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to a new date.
