Invited by Time is the New Space, Equinox is a project developed for a night-time exhibition in a club environment, where music, darkness, and light shaped the experience of the space. The work reflects on the idea of the equinox as a threshold between states, day and night, cold and warmth, stillness and movement. Within the exhibition, Lena Poyard explores how light moves through space: how it shapes perception, gathers attention, and creates a sense of transition within the environment.
This project was created in collaboration with Mona Mercier, explores the space between typography and textile. A single letter is hand-printed in repetition onto fabric, then cut and rewoven, transforming language into woven structure.
This custom project involved weaving a unique textile piece designed to become part of a backpack. The woven element incorporates a rope attachment system, providing a practical way to secure keys and other personal belongings while adding a distinctive handcrafted detail.
